Saga Pearl II sails in for the Seville April Fiesta (Feria de Abril) in 2018 and moors overnight so guests can immerse themselves in this celebration of music and flamenco, watch the parade of horse and carriages, drink the Manzanilla sherry and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display.
Back on board, the Spanish party continues with flamenco classes, Spanish language lessons, tapas tastings and an expert guest speaker explains the history of the fiesta.
This Fiestas and Fireworks themed cruise sails from Portsmouth on April 16, 2018 and also takes in the charms of Vigo, in Galicia, with its narrow streets, fisherman’s houses, seafood markets and cathedral in the old quarter.
The Spanish port of Avilés, in Asturias, is also on the itinerary, where architectural treasures of the old town are just five minutes’ walk from the modern city.
In Portugal, port cellars line the banks of the River Douro, in Oporto, and guests can enjoy tours and tastings, while in Portimão there are golden sandy beaches and a promenade lined with lively bars and restaurants.
